iPhone / iPad setup

Honest note: there isn't yet a MyVPN app in the App Store — that requires a one-time paid Apple Developer account, which isn't set up yet. Until then, this page gets you connected in under a minute using a free, legitimate existing app — same server, same encryption, same access.

Fastest path (recommended)

  1. Install Streisand (free) from the App Store.
  2. Go back to your MyVPN dashboard and tap "Copy link" under your server.
  3. Open Streisand, tap + in the top-right, then "Import from clipboard" — your connection fills in automatically. (Scanning the QR code from the dashboard works the same way.)
  4. Tap the connect toggle, approve the VPN permission prompt once, and you're connected.

Add MyVPN to your Home Screen

This gives you a real app icon for your dashboard — free, no App Store needed.

  1. Open the dashboard in Safari (must be Safari, not Chrome, for this to work on iOS).
  2. Tap the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap "Add to Home Screen".

You'll get a MyVPN icon that opens straight to your QR code and connect link, no browser bar.

Later: a real native app

A proper always-on MyVPN app (App Store, background connect, no third-party app needed) requires enrolling in Apple's Developer Program ($99/year) — it's the only path Apple allows for the VPN permission a real app needs, even for personal testing. That can be added anytime without changing anything else here; your account and servers stay exactly the same.
